A Palestinian Refugee Camp in Beirut Warned of Rockets, Drones From Building; November 12th

The IDF struck Beirut's Dahieh quarter today, brining down a multi-story building in a massive explosion. Residents were sent 3 consecutive warnings to leave the area, prior to the strike. 

Dahieh (Arabic: الضاحية الجنوبية, lit. 'the southern suburb',  is a predominantly Shia Muslim suburb in the south of Beirut, in the Baabda District of Lebanon. It has a minority of Sunni Muslims, Christians, and a Palestinian refugee camp with 20,000 inhabitants.  NPR's Eyder Peralta takes us to Dahieh, ortant symbol in the war. This vibrant district of Beirut is hollowed out as a stronghold of Hezbollah, important from  weeks of Israeli attacks.  Dahieh has been a base for Hezbollah since the group was founded in 1982. The area is often described as a "Hezbollah stronghold" by international media.

An attack drone launched by Hezbollah in Lebanon crashed into the yard of a preschool in the Haifa suburb of Nesher today, while the children were inside. No one was hurt. Repeated attempts to shoot down the drone failed, during the 14 minutes it took the drone to get from Lebanon to Haifa.

According to the Air Force, some 1,300 attack drones were launched at Israel since the start of the war, of which 231 hit the surface. Hezbollah still retains around 30% of its drone arsenal, the rest having been destroyed.  

The Mossad confirmed today that there is an immediate and credible threat of a plot to attack Israelis during the Full Moon party at Ko Pha Ngan, Thailand on Friday. Tens of thousands of Israelis are expected to be at the party.

Residents of Kibbutz Nir Oz have voted to rebuild their community. They said, "It is clear to us that the only victory alongside the return of our loved ones is the re-establishment of Kibbutz Nir Oz. Stronger, better, and bigger. The members of Nir Oz decided: Kibbutz Nir Oz will be rebuilt."
