How Iran Is Using Hezbollah Terrorists in Attacking Israel and Harming Lebanese and Syrians

Nadene Goldfoot

Notice Lebanon, Syria and Iraq where Iran has control
and how small Israel is by comparison.  "Lebanon is tiny also, an easy take-over by Hezbollah with
Iran's  help. Hezbollah acts as a proxy for Iran in the ongoing Iran–Israel proxy conflict.   Hezbollah was conceived by Muslim clerics and funded by Iran primarily to harass the Israeli occupation." Now they've started attacks.

Right now, many people of Metula, a little Israeli village on Israel's northern border with Lebanon sits, are feeling pretty good with the present quiet they are experiencing.  In the past 12 years they've only  had mortars launched at them 20 times.  They had many more before 2006.  They do think the quiet won't last from what they're seeing happening.  USA's George Walker Bush was president from 2001-2009. "The May 17 Agreement of 1983 was an agreement signed between Lebanon and Israel during the Lebanese Civil War on May 17, 1983, after Israel invaded Lebanon and besieged Beirut in 1982."  I was in Israel living close to the border in Safed at the time.

There are looming dangers on their northern border.  For one, their only line of defense are
Eucalyptus trees and a chain link fence separating the 2 countries.  Billboards have been rising up in the Lebanese hills facing Israel.  One of many is draped with Hezbollah flags featuring a picture of Ayatollah Khomeini, a picture of the Temple Mount, and a message in Arabic and Hebrew:

                                                         "WE ARE COMING."

Hezbollah, a terrorist group with tens of thousands entrenched in southern Lebanon, have more than 150,000 rockets hidden inside the homes of Lebanese people, their schools, hospitals and mosques.  Hezbollah uses these civilians as human shields.  Hezbollah are Iran's proxy in Lebanon.  Hezbollah's advanced military arsenal exceeds that of many national armies.

They maintain some 45,000 active and reserve fighters.  Thousands have already had combat experience in Syria.  They threaten Israel not only from the ground but from the air, sea, and underground with tunnels.  They have the capability to launch over 1,000 rockets a day into Israel.  They took 240 Lebanese villages and converted them into fighting zones where they keep their rockets and missiles that can strike anywhere in Israel.

Iran is starting their own military action now.  Since April, Iran established 5 military bases in Syria of which some are just a few miles from Israel's closest citizens.  They might even have more.  In May, THE IRANIAN FORCES THEMSELVES IN SYRIA fired about 20 rockets at Israel in an attack.  Israel's Iron Dome was used to intercept them before they hit the Israeli population which is very dense in this small area of about 8,000 square miles.

Iran has thousands of elite Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corp troops in Syria.  They train and keep some 60,000 Shia militiamen in Syria through a network of military bases.  Hezbollah and Hamas are receiving weapons from Iran through land, sea and air.  Iran's goal is to establish a permanent base along the Syia-Israel border.  It was in this way that they initiated armed attacks on Israel from Syria.  Territory all across Syria is being controlled by Iran which they gained since the onset of war in 2011.  Israel faces ISIS and al-Qaida entering through Lebanon by possible infiltration and rocket fire.
