Mizrahi Rabbi Kaduri and Ashkenazi Rabbi Kanievsky Said Messiah's Appearance Imminent

Nadene Goldfoot
The shofar should sound on the 12th of September for the moshiach, but Jews will check out anyone who claims to be the Messiah on this day for sure.  We thought at one time that Bar Kochba was the Messiah and was wrong.  Jesus did not fit the requirements, either.  Many have made such claims, and nothing every changes.  We're waiting for an improvement in our lives, not something even worse happening.

It's strange that 2 illustrious rabbis have spoken about the Moshiach's arrival and have either given clues to a name or to the date of his arrival.  Usually such things aren't pinned down but are said to be near, or within the next 500 years or so.  Are we that close to the end times?  Well, with the possibility of Iran having nuclear weapons very soon, this does make that time close by, doesn't it.  We know the first place the Iranians plan to  hit will be Israel, and after that most likely will be the USA.  Iran has proclaimed this enough times already.

The Mizrahi Rabbi Yitzchak Kaduri, born  on September 7, 1898,   passed away on January 28, 2006 at age 108, which is an unheard of age today.  He was born in Baghdad to Rabbi Katchouri Dibabeth Aziza, a spice trader, and his wife.  Kaduri attended the Zilka Yeshiva in Baghdad and majored in Kabbala.  He moved to Palestine in 1923.  In 1934 he moved into the Old city of Jerusalem and was a student of Rabbi Yitzhak Luria.  He was the most renowned Mizrahi Haredi rabbi and kabbalist whose life was devoted to Torah study and prayer.

He became noted for his prophecy.  He said in 2004 that great tragedies in the world were foreseen by him.  After 2001's tragedy of the twin towers falling in New York City, it's not a surprise.  Two weeks after his pronouncement, the Indian Ocean earthquake happened with it's attending tsunami.  That shook up his followers and made believers out of them.

Netanyahu whispering in his ear in 1999.  Shas has been part of Likud's politics.
In 1996 at age 98, he became involved in support the Shas Political party in Israel.
  1. "Shas (Hebrew: ש״ס‎, an acronym for Shomrei Sfarad, lit. Sfarad's guards (of the Torah)) is an ultra-orthodox religious political party in Israel."  "Founded in 1984 under the leadership of Rabbi Ovadia Yosef, a former Israeli Sephardi chief rabbi, who remained its spiritual leader until his death in October 2013, it primarily represents the interests of Haredi Sephardic and Mizrahi Jews."
Rabbi Ovadia Yosef Sephardi  and Mizrachi chief rabbi, d: 2013. Shas today is the 7th largest party in Israel.
A friend of mine just died at age 98.  He was very healthy and danced up till the time of his death, but at this age, most of his time was spent sleeping when not dancing.  It's amazing that the rabbi  had the stamina to be even interested in Shas.   His thinking time was being spent thinking about the Moshiach.  Before his death in 2006, he said that he would tell who the moshiach was as he had met him in a dream.

"Sharon was considered the greatest field commander in Israel's history, and one of the country's greatest military strategists.   After his assault of the Sinai in the Six-Day War and his encirclement of the Egyptian Third Army in the Yom Kippur War, the Israeli public nicknamed him "The King of Israel".  He was Prime Minister from 2001 to 2006.
He then said that after Sharon died, it would become known, and  so Sharon died  on January 11, 2014, after being in a coma for 8 years after having a stroke.    The rabbi died earlier on January 28, 2006.  Had Sharon died when he had the stroke and had not been kept alive artificially, he would also have died in 2006.

Sharon did something he said his son had led him to do.  He moved all the Jews out of Gaza in the name of peace for the Palestinians to have.  Sharon, 85, served as Israel’s prime minister from 2001 to 2006 when he became incapacitated from a stroke on January 4, 2006, A week later, Rabbi Kaduri died.  During his tenure, Sharon had initiated a disengagement plan, during which thousands of Jews were deported from Gaza and northern Samaria – turning the once-fertile region over to Hamas-control, unknowingly since he had no idea the USA would insist on Democratic voting rights for them and they promptly "voted" in Hamas as their leadership instead of the supposed Abbas.  One wonders just how controlled this voting was and what voters were threatened with if they did not vote for Hamas.  After all, they were not used to such a freedom.
A “death curse” by a group of rabbis in Israel was issued against Sharon for this action.
.  The rabbi's  family was told to wait one year after he died to read his note.  The note was really just a handwritten scribbled note, and acronym possibly of 6 words.

If you take the first letter of each word,  the sentence says "Yarim Ha’Am Veyokhiakh Shedvaro Vetorato Omdim--translated as "He will lift the people and prove that his word and law are valid.  .  It spelled Yehosua.    I think that's stretching it a bit.  YHVSVO?  Is that what the rabbi intended to have people read?  How about Joshua?  The correct spelling is: yud, hay, vuv, shin ayin-5 letters as it is in the Torah יהושע.   Jesus is simply the Greek word for Joshua.  Let's not get fancy, here.  The Christians have gone wild over this, but the family has said it's a forgery and not something coming from Rabbi Kaduri. That is amazing since they have never paid attention to what any rabbi has said before.

I wonder what had happened to that note that had to wait for 9 years to be opened.  Surely something had been altered or replaced.  His son said that this was not his handwriting.  Had it been locked up in the safe in a vault where it could not be tampered with?  And where would the good rabbi have studied about Jesus, I ask? Or heard about him?   There is not a thing about Jesus in in the Talmud or Tanakh or any post-talmudic resources.  Jesus is only written about in the NEW TESTAMENT Gospels.  An analysis of the Gospels has shown that certain sections seem to reflect ideas and situations in the developing Christian Church rather than those of Jesus's own day.  Did the rabbi have bell ringers at his home, too that tried to convert him?  What was going on?  I know they certainly have come to my house.
Update:  Rabbi Tovia Singer has translated it as: "The nation will be raised up and it will become known that His word and the Torah stands."  He also disputes that the rabbi would point to Jesus as the Messiah.

Now we have another rabbi, an Ashkenazi, Rabbi Shmaryahu Yosef Chaim Kanievsky, saying that we will meet the moshiach on the 12th of September of this year.  He was born on January 8, 1928, so is now 87 years old.  Kanievsky was born  in Pinsk, Belarus, which was part of the "Pale of Settlement," land set aside owned by Catherine II of Russia where Jews were allowed to live.

His father was  Rabbi Yaakov Yisrael Kanievsky who was also known as the Steipler Gaon.  His mother was the Rebbitzen Miriam Karelitz, sister of Rabbi Avraham Yeshayahu Karelitz,  who was also known as the Chazon Ish.  An Ish means wife in Hebrew.  He married Batsheva, daughter of Rabbi Yosef Sholom Eliashiv who was the grandson of Rav Shlomo Elyashiv, the Leshem.  His wife's other grandfather was Rav Aryeh Levin.

Rav Kanievsky was a student at the Lomza Yeshiva during the 1948 Israeli War of Independence and served in the army temporarily as all men had to do.  He was assigned to stand guard on a large hill near Jaffa.

His wife died in 2011.  He lived in the very Orthodox section called Bnei Brak and receives thousands of visitors every year from Jews needing religious advice.  A nonprofit organization, Belev Echad, founded in 2011 in Israel is dedicated to help the sick and disabled children and adults.  Rabbi Kanievsky is their official rabbi and spiritual guide.  He is a posek, an authority on the law.  "Kanievsky is considered a leading authority in Haredi Jewish society.  He's really sticking his neck out when he has picked a date for the moshiach's appearance.  it has happened before with so many people to pick a date and not have it happen.

One of the latest was "Menachem Mendel Schneerson (1902–1994), the seventh Chabad Rabbi who tried to "prepare the way" for the Messiah. An unidentifiable number of his followers believe him to be the Messiah, though he himself never said this and actually scoffed at such claims which were made during his lifetime

  1. The rabbi Kanviesky said he was not making a prophecy that this would take place September 12th. Read on about Shemitah. http://www.breakingisraelnews.com/45001/shmitah-messiah-this-year-arrival-jewish-world/#zEbStaybpedhMPRC.97
