WFP trucks started crossing into Gaza via Zikim and Kerem Shalom crossings. The first trucks carried life-saving wheat flour and ready-to-eat food parcels for people in desperate need. WFP aims to deliver food daily along humanitarian corridors, which include Egypt, Jordan and Israel crossing points. This ceasefire is critical for the humanitarian response. Safety and access must be ensured. WFP/PhotolibraryPublished 1:57 PM EDT, Fri June 27, 2025
I thought everyone knew about the problems involved in getting food to the non-terrorist families of Hamas terrorists in Gaza who were getting mighty hungry being the terrorists were stealing what food was shipped in through the UN and Israel. They were selling this food at high prices no one could pay, and also keeping it for themselves. Several companies have tried getting their trucks through the barrage of bullets flying at them.
The Gaza aid sites where deaths have occurred are run by the controversial Israel-and USA-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), which hands out pre-packaged boxes of food at a handful of locations in southern and central Gaza. The groups distribution was chaotic from the start; only a month ago. The crowds were desperate rushing the sites the moment they were open to take the aid before it ran out, often within less than an hour.
GHF was set up to replace the UN aid distribution mechanism which Israel had found Hamas guilty of looting. Of course Hamas has denied the accusation. Most of the UN distributed food aid reaches civilians, they say. The UN and major aid organizations have refused to cooperate with the GHF, saying it was designed to cater to IDF objectives. GHF coordinates with the IDF to designate specific routes for Palestinians traveling to their aid sites.
CNN : CNN is generally perceived to have a liberal or left-leaning bias in its overall news coverage. However, when it comes to reporting on Israel and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, some sources suggest CNN exhibits a pro-Israel bias. Reports from CNN staff say the network has faced criticism for this, with some alleging a systemic bias rooted in pressure from the Israeli government and allied groups, fear of losing advertising revenue, and strict editorial guidelines from CNN headquarters. While CNN may lean left on some issues, its coverage of Israel has been described as having a pro-Israel slant. This perception is supported by some reports from CNN staff who claim the network's coverage is skewed by a systemic bias. Some cite the influence of the Israeli government and allied groups in the US, as well as CNN's fear of losing advertising revenue, as potential factors contributing to this slant. Additionally, some believe that strict guidelines from CNN headquarters in Atlanta influence the coverage. Here, CNN gives both sides-left and right.
Al Jazeera: (Al Jazeera is a media network that is primarily funded by the Qatari government, but claims to have editorial independence. It is based in Doha, Qatar. While it is widely known as a news organization, Al Jazeera also has a publishing arm, Al Jazeera Publishing, which was based in the United Arab Emirates. This publishing company was dissolved in 2011.) thought up a good one this time. They printed news, made up by them, that the Israeli IDF were ordered to fire at the Palestinians waiting for this aid.
As of 2022, Haaretz Haaretz newspaper in Israel is generally considered to have a left-leaning or liberal political orientation. It is known for its critical stance on the current Israeli government and its support for peace initiatives and civil rights. The newspaper's editorial stance is described as having "a broadly liberal outlook both on domestic issues and on international affairs" according to Wikipedia has the third-largest circulation in Israel. It is widely read by international observers, especially in its English edition, and discussed in the international press. According to the Center for Research Libraries, among Israel's daily newspapers, "Haaretz is considered the most influential and respected for both its news coverage and its commentary
Haaretz newspaper, a Leftist siding against the present government of Likud, copied it with the extra info that Israeli soldiers were told by their commanders to shoot at the crowds of Palestinians approaching aid sites no matter what. What they were told was to shoot up in the air to scare them off !!! They were allowed these warning shots if coming too close. The word was that they were using artillery shells, causing many casualties. The word was wrong.
All sorts of other news on the web have copied Al Jazeera's report because it is painting Israel in a very bad light; even a Jewish site-Haaretz!!! The info is spreading all over the world, not on just the population of Israel. That's what false information does; it spreads like Covid.
To be clear, IDF directives prohibit deliberate attacks on civilians.
"Netanyahu and Katz rejected this vicious report as vicious lies designed to discredit the IDF--the most moral army in the world."
Any allegation of a deviation from the law or IDF directives will be thoroughly examined, and further action will be taken as necessary, said the IDF head honcho.
On Thursday, the USA State Dept. announced that it is awarding $30 million to the organization, a sign of continued USA support for GHF, which says it distributed 46 million meals in 4 weeks of operations.
