What's Happening In Israel This Week That We Should Know About?

 Nadene Goldfoot

First of all, Israel needs all the soldiers it can get to help fight for their very life while being attacked on 7 fronts!  Men and women are serving.  In the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF), the age range for mandatory conscription is generally 18-29 for men and 18-26 for women, based on the Hebrew calendar. The length of mandatory service is as follows:

  • Men: 32 months.
  • Women: 24 months.
  •
A motion to dissolve parliament, brought by the opposition, was defeated 61–53 just after midnight on Thursday. The government survived the vote after ultra-Orthodox lawmakers, acting on the orders of senior rabbis, sided with the coalition following a last-minute compromise on military draft legislation.
IDF soldier from Africa, orthodox on his own, a good example for others to follow,

Trump wants the war to end in Gaza?  Well, Israel is trying to end it.  IDF forces arrested 7 Hamas terrorists in a raid on Beit Jinn, a town in the Damascus countryside, last night. About 100 soldiers, 10 military vehicles and drones reportedly took part in the operation. One terrorist was killed.  It takes 100:1 ratio right now for Israel to eliminate terrorists in this exercize.  They were Hamas in Syria fighting Israel.

Hamas is even attacking Palestinians that are not Hamas terrorists!  The Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) said that five of its Palestinian workers were killed, and others injured, in a Hamas attack on the bus that was transporting them to work. The GHF said that some workers might have been abducted. The GHF said, "The attack did not happen in a vacuum. For days, Hamas has openly threatened our team, our aid workers and the civilians who receive aid from us. Their threats have been met with silence."  IDF meets up with a lot of silence, too, when needing more help.
One of Iran's nuclear site; the Bushehr:
As Iran slams the U.S. nuclear deal as “unacceptable,” it quietly expands its atomic program. Tehran is building two new reactors at Bushehr with Russia’s help—part of a larger plan for 8 nuclear plants. While the U.S. demands enrichment to stop, Khamenei doubles down. With experts claiming full Iranian control and Russia’s backing, has Iran already outmaneuvered Washington? This explosive twist could redefine Middle East power dynamics.

Update; 6/12/25-1:40pm : News coming out is that attack possible within days now.

The International Atomic Energy Agency declared Iran in breach of its nuclear non-proliferation obligations for the first time in nearly two decades. In response, Iran notified the UN watchdog of plans to open a new uranium enrichment facility, though it provided no details on its location.
The U.S. State Department announced it is withdrawing all nonessential personnel from embassies and diplomatic missions in Iraq, Bahrain and Kuwait

Iran's Defense Minister Aziz Nasirzadeh warned the U.S. that in the event of war, "All its bases are within our reach, we have access to them, and without hesitation, we will target all of them in the host countries."  Does that mean that Israel, USA, Iraq, Bahrain and Kuwait are in line of fire; because of USA's bases?
