Two Regular Republicans on the View: Griffin and Navarro and Where they Stand

Alyssa Griffin nee Farah 34, was born on June 15, 1989, in Los Angeles. Her father, Joseph Farah, is a journalist of Syrian and Lebanese descent who was executive news editor at the Los Angeles Herald Examiner before moving to Northern California to become editor of The Sacramento Union in 1990.  She's recently married Justin Griffin, about 2 years ago.  In 2020, Griffin became engaged to Justin Griffin, a graduate of the New York University Stern School of Business and a grandson of Samuel A. Tamposi. They were married in November 2021. In 2022, Griffin revealed on The View that members of her family, including her father and step-mother, boycotted her wedding because of her differences with Trump.  

NEW YORK (AP) — ABC's “The View” has named two Republicans — Alyssa Farah Griffin and Ana Navarro — as regular panelists on the daytime talk show, and neither are fans of former President Donald Trump.  I watch when I can and have never realized that Ana was a Republican, though I know that Alyssa certainly is.  She has been on the front lines in Washington Republican   and  as  and Assistant to the President in 2020 during the presidency of Donald Trump. Griffin appears on CNN as a political commentator and is also a co-host of the daytime talk show The View for its 26th season.

Griffin was press secretary for U.S. Vice President Mike Pence and Special Assistant to President Donald Trump from October 2017 to September 2019. In 2019, she was appointed the youngest press secretary of The Pentagon in history. She served as Deputy Assistant to the Secretary of Defense for Public Affairs and the Press Secretary for the United States Department of Defense from 2019 to 2020. 

Donald Trump launched a verbal attack at his former White House staffer  calling her a “sleazebag,” “loser” and a “backbencher,” in a post to Truth Social Saturday.  Griffin had defended  the town hall special which exposed him as radioactive for independents and moderates-and lost him votes. “America got to see who he is last night: a ranting, raving lunatic, who sided with Vladimir Putin,’ Griffin said of her former boss.

Alyssa Farah Griffin, co-host of “The View,” slammed Kanye West for making anti-Semitic remarks on Friday and sternly stated that the Holocaust “could happen again” if the public doesn’t speak out against such vile remarks.  Griffin referred to Kanye West as a “moron” after the rapper made a bizarre appearance with white nationalist Nick Fuentes on conspiracy theorist Alex Jones’ “Infowars” on Thursday. Throughout the bizarre episode, West, who had a black hood covering his entire face, praised Adolf Hitler and babbled about anti-Semitic conspiracies.

    Ana Violeta Navarro-Cárdenas (née Navarro Flores; born December 28, 1971) 52,  is a Nicaraguan-American political strategist and commentator. She appears on various television programs and news outlets, including CNN, CNN en Español, ABC News, and Telemundo. She is also a co-host of the daytime talk show The View, garnering Emmy Award nominations for her work. She is a member of the Republican Party.

Both ladies have one thing in common with the others on the panel;  they all are against Trump. 

Ana admitted to having Sephardic and Ashkenazi ancestors when speaking to a Jewish group, ADL.   She addressed the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) National Leadership Summit in Washington, DC on Monday night..  He’s (Donald Trump)  been good for Israel. Okay, I am done. I should also tell you… I am Ashkenazi Jewish — and Sephardic. And I am also the descendant of slaves, and Hispanic. So basically, Donald Trump has offended all of me, every single part of me. I ended up having an unbroken DNA thread with Amy Schumer, which means I am also a distant cousin of Chuck Schumer. Oy!”  Looks like my gal has taken a DNA test!  Good for her!  

Schumer was born on June 1, 1981, on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, New York City, New York, to Sandra Jane (née Jones) and Gordon David Schumer, who owned a baby-furniture company. Schumer's father was born to a Jewish family from Ukraine. She is a second cousin of U.S. Senator and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer.

Wow!  I'm related to one male and one female Schumer (not Ana) and one female Navarro,  but...The three are all my 4th to distant cousins.  They do not share genes with each other, either.   My brother shares my Schumers and is connected to another male, too, and a different Navarro female, widening the cousins we connect to of Schumer and Navarro.
