Hamas Taking Over Jewish Traditions About Eretz Yisrael

"This is the law governing the land of Palestine in the
Islamic Sharia (law) and the same goes for any land the
Moslems have conquered by force,
because during the times of (Islamic) conquests, the Moslems consecrated these lands to
Moslem generations till the Day of Judgement.

The Islamic Resistance Movement believes that the land
of Palestine is an Islamic Waqf consecrated for future
Moslem generations until Judgement Day. It, or any
part of it, should not be squandered: it, or any part of it,
should not be given up. Neither a single Arab country
nor all Arab countries, neither any king or president, nor
all the kings and presidents, neither any organization nor
all of them, be they Palestinian or Arab, possess the right
to do that. Palestine is an Islamic Waqf land consecrated
for Moslem generations until Judgement Day."

Some Muslims such as Hamas terrorists  make a counter-claim to the Jewish claim of the land "based in part on verses of the Qur'an that describe the Jews in terms of contempt and in part on rulings in Muslim law that reject Muslims relinquishing rule over a territory under Muslim rule to nonbelievers."  Whatever Hamas may think, it was G-d who led the Israelites  to this land over 3,000 years ago.

I note that Islam has the habit of copying  much of Judaism.  They even have incorporated the story found in the Old Testament (the Jewish Tanakh in Genesis) of the story of Abraham sacrificing Isaac, only in their rendition he is sacrificing Ishmael, Isaac's half brother who was the progenitor of the Arab line.

They have a slightly different take on why G-d asked this of Abraham than the Jews do.  They say that copying is flattering, but Islam never gives note as to where they get their material except to explain that Mohammad (570 CE-632 CE) was visited by the angel, Gabriel,  who told him what to say and have written down, as he himself was illiterate.  Mohammad explained that all Holy Books were copies of a heavenly model and that all revelations were essentially one, but had been distorted in several ways by the respective people.  His mission, he said, was to confirm what had been revealed to former prophets and to correct the distortions.  He then referred with respect to the Hebrew Scriptures and the Jewish prophets and quoted from memory from the Bible and other Jewish sources.  Jewish lore and tradition played a big part in Mohammad's revelation, in his tenets of faith and religious precepts.

There is a big difference though, between the Arab and Jewish people through their religion even though there are similarities.  Jews are not a martial people.  The only fighting they did was what they had to do to take over Canaan starting in 1271 BCE, about 3,285 years ago when Joshua led the Israelites into the land.  They were not even allowed to build their Temple to G-d until Solomon ( 961-920 BCE) was king, as he was not a fighting king like his father, King David.  The heroes of the Jewish nation were never warriors and conquerors but prophets and scribes.  Warfare is not a part of the Jewish culture.  It is not in their blood.

There never was, never could be a policy of deliberately attacking civilians like there has been a consistent Arab policy of doing just that.  This is exactly what Fatah led by Arafat had done and what Hamas has been doing since 2001 to southern Israel, and now has done to all of Israel including Tel Aviv and Jerusalem with their missiles procured from Iran.

If the Arabs laid down their arms, there would be no more war.  If Jews laid down their arms, there would be no more Israel.  By reading the 11th article of Hamas, one can now understand why the Arabs in Gaza have sacrificed their children for Hamas and have dug tunnels all the way into Israel to steal into the land to kill Jews.  This is why there was no peace agreement with Fatah's Abbas of the PA.  He has already said many times that their Palestine is to have no Jews in it.  He expects all the Jews living there today, some 328,423 in Judea and Samaria and about 200,000 in east Jerusalem to be expelled.  That's  528,423 Jews that would have to be relocated into the 8,000 sq miles of Israel proper.  Having done just this in Gaza has taught Israelis that it just meant giving land for war, not peace.  It gave them a place to shoot at them in very close quarters.  They do not intend to make such a mistake again.

Arabs have had a policy of massacres and mutilation of Jews in the riots of  1929 in Jerusalem, in the riots of 1936 to 1939, and in the war in which the Arabs set out to massacre and mutilate the Jewish State at birth in 1948, a war during which a convoy of 77 doctors and nurses, in clearly marked ambulances going to the Hadassah Hospital in Jerusalem met with massacre and mutilation, when all 35 members of a convoy going to the Etzion bloc met with ambush, massacre and mutilation, when all but 4 survivors of Kibbutz Kfar Etzion met with massacre and mutilation.

Here I see Islam copying the Jewish Tanakh again by implying that the land of Israel is a "waqf" (an endowment from Allah.  Of course Allah is another word for G-d.  In the Jewish tradition, Moses (1391 BCE-1271 BCE) was sent by G-d to go on the mission of leading out the Jews from Egypt who had been there as slaves for 400 years.  He was 80 years old at the time and had to travel back to Egypt first in order to fulfill this command of taking the Jews, of which he was one himself, and go to Canaan and take it over. So the very warlike people of Hamas and their affiliates have now inserted cause in their religion to take Israel.  It's now culture and religion that makes them attack Jews.

Yet other Muslims cite different Qur'anic verses in support of the Jewish claim. The conflict has a religious quality that makes it the more difficult to resolve.  It seems the world leaders leaders do not want to recognize the religious ingredient in this problem, which makes it even harder to understand for those not Jewish or Muslim.   There is opposition to terrorism from Turkey by a leading Muslim  TV personality Sinem Tezyapar.  At the other end of the spectrum, which Sinem reprimands, is IS, who are killing not only Christians but their own Sunnis as well if they do not satisfy their lofty demands of their Sunni-Salafist religion.   Netanyahu, Israel's Prime Minister, sees no difference between Hamas and IS these days.  They both want to create a caliphate.  The only difference is that IS employs beheading to scare off the opposition while Hamas has used missiles, mortars and rockets indiscriminately into Israel's civilian population.

Canaan's people were practicing human sacrifice, and this had to be ended.  The test of Abraham's earnest act of sacrificing his only son with him under G-d's orders shows he was not shocked at such a command, only greatly saddened, and Abraham was Moses's  3rd great grandfather, so they probably were still sacrificing  their own people and others.   The Canaanites and Phoenicians believed in many idols or gods such as Baal, lord of fertility and the rains, and Astarte, goddess of fertility.  Anat was the goddess of war and Melkarth was the patrol-god of Tyre.  Worship was done under trees and on hills, but there were also temples with images.  They sacrificed children to Moloch.  Their religion included dedicated prostitutes who somehow were involved with the gods.

The land the Israelites, the 12 tribes of Israel,  had to pass into was the land of the Canaanite, Hittite, Emorite, Hivvite and Jebusite.  God had promised this land originally to their forefathers-a land flowing with milk and honey.  The Israelites were told by Moses that they were removed from Egypt with a strong hand.by G-d.

There is a difference of 1,903 years from when Moses died to when Mohammad died, almost a 2,000 year difference, and now we see Islam saying that Israel, which sits where Canaan had been, is now land belonging to Islam.

The land of Israel and Judah had a name change by the Romans in 135 CE when they were highly angry at the Jewish General Bar Kokhbah for lasting under their attack for 3 years when they finally slayed him.  In order to get even, they renamed the land with the name of Israel's great enemy, the Phillistines, and that's how it became Palaestina, later written as Palestine. "The first clear use of the term Palestine to refer to the entire area between Phoenicia and Egypt was in 5th century BC Ancient Greece.  Herodotus wrote of a 'district of Syria, called Palaistinê in The Histories, the first historical work clearly defining the region, which included the Judaean Mountains and the Jordan Rift Valley and formed part of the 5th Persian satrapy . However, the Tanakh also describes the geography of the area as well.

So the Greeks had been calling the land Syria Palaestina.  After all, the Philistines had originated from Greek localities and Asia Minor.   Under Hadrian, the Roman, the name became officially Palaestina for what had been Judah.  When many Arabs were asked where they had come from in the 1920's to 1940's, they had said, Syria.  They did not call themselves Palestinians.  Both Jews and Arabs who were living in Palestine before May  14, 1948 were listed as Palestinians as that was the given name of the land by the British who held the mandate.  Now we have Hamas terrorists saying that Allah gave them Palestine.  They will not recognize Israel as a state which Egypt and Jordan have done, and this is why we still are at war with them and not peace.  They have taken the Qur'an and muddled it with their own inserts like this.  They're saying that G-d gave them Palestine, which was the Jewish version by Moses.

Jews may not be a martial people, but they have had to learn the art of war in order to survive and become warriors once again, but they do not love it.  They have learned it well, though.  They cannot run away as there is no place for them to run to, so they must stay and fight for their land, land promised to them by G-d.  As Golda Meir had said, "We Jews have a secret weapon in our struggle with the Arabs; we have no place to go."  Needless to say, there is southern Syria for the Palestinians, or Lebanon, or Iraq.  They have 22 Middle eastern Muslim countries to choose from or 48 Muslim countries world wide to live in while there is only one Jewish state in this whole world.  There never has been a country of Palestine, only the territory. The Ottoman Empire ruled an almost empty land until Jews started making aliyah to it.    No Palestinian people existed.  The Palestinian Arabs are from an assortment of surrounding countries who came in looking for work from the Jews who were building from  the 1880's to the 1930's who had entered making aliyah.  Jews moving in were then called Palestinian Jews.

There were 5 different groupings of Jews immigrating to Palestine. and a 6th  that was illegal immigration.  Jews were prevented from entering their Jewish Homeland by the English  from 1933 to 1948 when Germany was becoming hostile and deadly, creating the Holocaust.

Now, what's going to happen to all the other countries where Muslims have moved into, such as Sweden, Switzerland, England, France, Germany, USA, etc?    Will they be called a Waqf by IS?  Are these the days comparable to the Ottoman Empire expansionism?

  1. Great article. Don't forget, besides ripping off the sacrifice of Yitzhak, Moshe Rabbeinu is really their prophet Musa. And Yaakov's ladder dream is copied wholesale into Mohammad's Miraj. All with the intent to make Am Yisrael invisible to history, ensuring a smooth path to eradication of the 'occupiers of Palestine'.

  2. Thanks, pocodedo. I didn't know about the copying of the ladder dream. Amazing how much they have copied. Taking over the land to Hamas is taking our involvement with G-d as well, they think.
