The Terrorists From PFLP and Their Best Member -Leader: Riyad Al-Maliki

Nadene Goldfoot
The Palestinian calling many of the shots is a prevaricator named Riyad Al-Maliki.  I call him that because he knows better.  He is saying that Israel may have fabricated the kidnapping of the 3 boys who had just left their school at the end of the day.  Fabricated?  Is that why their bodies were found bound 2 weeks afterwards  and that they were shot to death?  Was that part of the story?   He can't face that Israel is a Jewish nation on ancient Jewish soil or that this has happened.  This is a man on Fatah's side who sat in with Kerry on the peace talks between Israel and the Palestinians.  No wonder nothing came from that.

Riyad was a leading member of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, a terrorist group- the PFLP.  "It  is a Palestinian Marxist-Leninist and revolutionary leftist organization founded in 1967. It has consistently been the second-largest of the groups forming the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), the largest being Fatah.. "  George Habash was the founder of this group till 2000.  Then Ahmad Sadat took over in 2001 till now.  They operate in Judea, Samaria (West Bank), Gaza, Syria and Lebanon.

Their call is one of nationalism through armed insurrection.  They refuse to recognize Israel and Maliki's  latest words show he is no different from them. They broke off from the PLO in 1974 for its "Stages Strategy, that is; "liberating"  Palestine in stages rather than in a single war, but later they rejoined the PLO which is now Fatah.  On their website is this statement that is so fallacious:

“The fascist terrorism of the occupation state and its rampant brutal criminality will not terrorize our people, will not deter us from demanding our legitimate rights to freedom, self-determination and return,” said the letter."    Return?  They have been gone?  The story they spin gets more convoluted all the time.  They already had a Palestine as of June 29th, yet they rant and rave on and on and keep attacking Jews in Jerusalem.

What terrorism they committed was to initiate showcase, media-oriented attacks in the 1970 such as plane hijackings.  Shootings, bombing and suicide attacks were also committed and planned by them.  They assassinated the Israeli Tourism Minister, Rechavam Ze'evi on October 2001.  They also committed 8 suicide bombings from 2000 to 2005.  Out of their group they had 14 suicide bombers who were stopped and arrested in 2005. The PFLP was responsible for a suicide bomb that exploded on an Israeli bus on march 5, 2003.  17 people were killed on that bus and 53 were injured.   They had a suicide bomber attack a Tel Aviv bus station in 2006.

The PFLP were major players in the 1970s and 1980s, but PFLP and related groups were small and are considered minor players today.  What they have done is join up with Fatah and pretend to be followers of peaceful intentions, like Maliki.   Not on your life!

Maliki was important to PFLP because he was smart-and delusional.  Born in 1955, he's now nearing 60.  He was a civil engineer and has a PhD in engineering earned at American University.  Riyad has served Fatah as their former Minister of Information.  He's a main government spokesperson and was their Foreign Affairs chairman in their 12th government and today serving in that capacity in their 13th government.

Maliki seems to be following old party lines of PFLP.  "The PFLP has generally taken a hard line on Palestinian national aspirations, opposing the more moderate stance of Fatah. It opposes negotiations with the Israeli government, and favours a one-state solution to the Israeli–Palestinian conflict.  Splinter groups arae PPLF-GC (Popular Front for the LIberation of Palestine-the general command) , and DFLP (Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine.)

That could be why when interviewed, he said the issue most intractable between Israel and Palestine was the issue of recognizing the Jewish nature of the Israeli state.  To him is was a sharply contentious issue.  He couldn't do it because it would mean the Arab's acceptance of the dissolution of their own history and ties and their historic right to Palestine.

They are not about to accept that under any circumstances.  This would raise the question and fears about the fate of the 1.7 or 1.8 million Palestinians living in Israel.  He claims they are poor 2nd class citizens under Israel whereas this is a lie.  They are citizens just like all other Jewish citizens.  He want to know how they will be affected by the Judaization of the state.  He's oblivious of the fact that nothing is changing.  It was created as a Jewish state and has been operating as a Jewish state.  My, his head is full of delusions, and the Palestinians are faring just fine.

Then the big question arose out of his mouth.  "This also raises the questions about the Palestinian refugees and the right of return.    The Palestinians are even planning on renaming Jerusalem as Al-Quds and Hebron as Al-Khalil.  Of course Netanyahu said no to all of this; no right of return to be smothered by Palestinians and no to name-changing or to handing over east Jerusalem to the Palestinians for a capital.  They do have their Chutzpa, don't they?
