Laws of Revenge

 Nadene Goldfoot

Ismail Haniyeh (1962/1963 – 31 July 2024) was a Palestinian terrorist leader who was the political leader of  Hamas  that has governed the Gaza Strip since 2007.  He's been a marked man ever since October 7th, when Hamas militants killed 1,200 people and took about 250 hostages. The Israel-Hamas war that followed has become the deadliest and longest in the Arab-Israeli conflict. More than 39,000 Palestinians have been killed, according to health officials in Gaza, but much less according to Israel.  Hamas terrorists are known to always inflate their death numbers in order to harm Israel's reputation.  Hamas terrorists hide behind their own civilians, and keep their ammunition in schools, their children's beds, mosques, hospitals.

"The 62-year-old Haniyeh was killed in an airstrike Wednesday during a visit to one of Hamas’ most crucial allies, Iran, after attending the inauguration of its new president. Iran and Hamas both accused Israel, which has not commented on the strike as yet.

Supposedly, the Palestinians themselves voted Hamas  into being the ruling people of  Gaza. . At 3am this morning,  he was assassinated.

According to the laws of revenge, one can be involved in warring when one is attacked for no good reason by another, and people can then take upon themselves revenge for the first surprise attack.  It supposedly went on all the time by the 14th century.

Well, Israel got her revenge today for the  killing of 13 Druze children in the Golan Heights by Hezbollah while they were playing soccer.  They got Fuad Shukr, top Hezbollah terrorist.
Fuad Shukr 1961/1962 – 30 July 2024),  was a senior terrorist of Lebanese militant organization Hezbollah. A member of Hezbollah's founding generation, Shukr was a senior military terrorist in the organization since the early 1980s. For over four decades, he was one of the group's leading military figures and was a military advisor to its leader Hassan Nasrallah
Lebanese group Hezbollah has confirmed that its senior commander Fuad Shukr was killed in an Israeli attack in southern Beirut.

The Israeli military said it carried out a “precision strike” in Beirut on

Tuesday that killed Shukr, adding that he had been responsible for the

missile strike that killed 12 children playing football in Majdal Shams in the occupied Golan Heights on Saturday.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed to bring the full force of the
Israeli military against the Gaza Strip’s Hamas terror group Saturday night,
warning Israelis of

tough days ahead as  the nation retaliates for a shocking surprise attack that has left

hundreds dead and  turned sleepy border towns into a war zone.

Trump, Others: Remarking About Criminals Coming Through Wall

 Nadene Goldfoot

                                                           USA-Mexico Border Wall, CNNhttps://www.cnn.com/interactive/2018/03/world/us-mexico-border-cnnphotos/

The Trump administration say they've completed more than 400 miles of border wall

since it was started.

It's 452 miles (727 km) in total, according to the latest US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) information (4 January 2021).

However, only 80 miles of new barriers have been built where there were none before -

that includes 47 miles of primary wall, and 33 miles of secondary wall built to reinforce

the initial barrier.

The vast majority of the 452 miles is replacing existing structures at the border that had

been built by previous US administrations.

President Trump has argued that this should be regarded as new wall, because it's

replacing what he called "old and worthless barriers."

Since the launch of Operation Lone Star, the multi-agency effort has led to over 513,100 illegal immigrant apprehensions and more than 43,700 criminal arrests, with more than 38,400 felony charges or    43,700/513,100.

"In the fight against the fentanyl crisis, Texas law enforcement has seized over 488 million lethal doses of fentanyl, enough to kill every man, woman, and child in the United States and Mexico combined during this border mission."  On Tuesday, May 7, the Drug Enforcement Administration will recognize National Fentanyl Awareness Day by joining the many voices dedicated to educating the public on the serious dangers of fentanyl poisoning from fake pills and other illicit drugs.  August 21st is a coordinated day of response by grassroots fentanyl awareness organizations and families impacted by fentanyl to educate the public about the dangers of illicit fentanyl.

WASHINGTON 2019— Forced to back down on a government shutdown, President Donald Trump is shifting his story regarding his campaign promise to build a border wall. He’s also once again inflating the number of immigrants in the U.S. illegally.

In declaring a national emergency at the Southwest border, President Donald Trump strung together a long list of false, misleading and unsupported claims on illegal immigration, drug smuggling, human trafficking, trade deficits and other issues.

"Governor Greg Abbott, the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS), and the Texas National Guard continue to work together to secure the border; stop the smuggling of drugs, weapons, and people into Texas; and prevent, detect, and interdict transnational criminal activity between ports of entry."  It looks like Trump bypassed Abbott's work on this issue.

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) has been engaged in a months-long feud with the Biden administration over the situation at the border. Abbott has maintained that Biden is not doing enough to address border security, while the Biden administration has said Texas does not have the authority to erect razor wire barriers.

Abbott said in a statement Wednesday that Biden has “ignored Texas’s demand that he perform his constitutional duties” and that Texas has declared an invasion, which will invoke “Texas’s constitutional authority to defend and protect itself.”

On Trump's  claim that at least 25 million immigrants are in the U.S. illegally, Trump is contradicted by his own Homeland Security secretary and other sources.  His retreat in the partial shutdown capped a head-spinning week in which Trump also repeated questionable assertions that a border wall would stop crime and drugs from “pouring in.”

FACT:  Those attempting to enter the U.S. without “valid entry documents” or “by fraud or misrepresentation” must be detained pending an expedited removal proceeding, as explained in a 2018 report by the Congressional Research Service. And they are subject to deportation whether they have a criminal record or not.

Now, some people apprehended trying to cross the border illegally (or legally for that matter) may seek asylum in the U.S., a process that can stretch for years in some cases.

The immigrant must first get a U.S. official to determine that he or she faces a credible fear” of persecution or torture if forced to return home, according to the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. If an asylum officer doesn’t find there’s a credible fear, the immigrant can request a review by an immigration judge. If the judge agrees with the officer, the immigrant can then be removed from the U.S.

It's always been illegal to enter the USA without the proper papers to do so.  Caught, at any time you face deportation.  The Wall was built along with the need to do so.  It would help if the USA would help develop jobs in Mexico for a people who do not have the skills , ideas or money to do so, thus ending the big need for such jobs.

Kamala Harris on Israel

 Nadene Goldfoot

Harris’s Views on Israel Are in the Spotlight as Netanyahu Visits Washington:  The vice president will be closely watched this week for signs of her approach to the war in Gaza should she win the White House in November.

Regarding Israel’s war on Hamas, Harris has sounded more sympathetic to the plight of Palestinians, a stance that could mollify Arab-American voters and others who are troubled by Biden’s support for Israel’s war effort in Gaza.

Mr. Netanyahu’s trip throws a spotlight on the views of Ms. Harris, who has emerged as a forceful voice on the Israel-Hamas war, particularly in discussing the plight of "innocent Palestinians". In a civil rights speech in Selma, Ala., this year, Ms. Harris garnered widespread attention for calling for an “immediate cease-fire” and assailing Israel for creating a “humanitarian catastrophe” in Gaza.

Benjamin Netanyahu, 75 years old- spoke to Congress today to a packed room  and balcony  of Republicans.  Benjamin "Bibi" Netanyahu (born 21 October 1949) is an Israeli politician, serving as the prime minister of Israel since 2022, having previously held the office in 1996–1999 and 2009–2021.

Earlier,  President Biden gave his official farewell speech, stepping down from running for President for a 2nd term and giving the opportunity to Kamala Harris, who was not present, along with most of the Democrats.  That was really a shame, as Bibi gave one of his best speeches to the awaiting people.  The Democrats had walked out on a speech Netanyahu had given to the UN years ago, too, when he held up the sign about Iran and the A bomb and how close they were to achieving their goals.

I was duly impressed, thinking that he certainly knows how to speak in a most persuasive way with facts I've known all along.  It's how he puts it all together that is impressive.  Kamala was attending a Black Sorority occasion.

Being Harris is married to a Jewish man, Doug Emhoff, a lawyer who's Jewish, I originally thought she's have more of an understanding of the causes of this war, but was mistaken.  Emhoff was born on October 13, 1964, in the Brooklyn borough of New York City, the son of Jewish parents From 1969 to 1981, he grew up in Matawan and Old Bridge Township, New Jersey.  His family were congregants of Temple Shalom, a Reform synagogue in Aberdeen Township at which Emhoff had his bar mitzvah in 1977.

Though we Jews make up only 2% of the American population, we are a varied group, though the majority of us are called the Ashkenazis (Germans) after 70 CE and the destruction of Jerusalem by Romans. We are also varied in our religious experience as Jews; with some being Reform, some Conservative which I was brought up in, and some as Orthodox, like my grandparents.  I have a feeling that the Reform are the majority here in the USA.  I'm right.  Judaism (35% Reform, 18% Conservative, 10% Orthodox, 6% others, 30% non-denomination, irreligious, atheists, etc.).  That 30%  are really Hellenized to the point of possibly being non-caring or being completely very uneducated as to their genetic history and simply are no longer interested, which makes me very sad.   We have such a rich heritage.  It's all the more reason why we need Israel.

Biden said of Kamala Harris;  "She's tough."  She has been on Israel for years.    She might even pick a Jewish man, Governor Josh Shapiro from Pennsylvania, as vice president, but he may not be selected because of his faith, too, said on a TV article.

"Some commentators have already argued that Harris could benefit from adding Shapiro to the

Democratic ticket, particularly if she's seen as being more vocally critical of Israel and the

country's actions in Gaza.

White House National Security Council officials toned down parts of a speech Vice President

Harris on Gaza in March before she gave it, according to an NBC News report. In the speech,

Harris called for an immediate six-week ceasefire between Israel and Hamas but the original

draft was reportedly harsher toward Israel. The vice president's office denied the speech had

been toned down."
